(More customer reviews)Just returned from our first roadtrip with the Audiovox D1788ES portable DVD player. It held up nicely to the rigors of SUV travel. We moved it between seats, climbed in and out around cables and watched about 8 movies - it survived. No complaints from the kids - picture looks good and the dual screens were great for two person viewing. As expected, the speakers were small and tinny sounding but were adequate. To my delight, the kids used their headphones most of the time so the speakers really didn't matter. The hanging cables create a risk of tripping but that did not happen and they were long enough to stretch from the front console outlet to the third row seat. Had read about brightness issues with other units but it wasn't an issue with the Audiovox. The 7 inch screens are a little small but worked pretty well in close quarters.
