I picked them specifically for the base - gotta have it. 'The sound quality is clear and crisp. Can't go wrong with Sennheiser - the Germans know what they're doing! I had my friend who purchase the Bose ear buds to try these and he was impressed and very surprised. I didn't want to tell him he overpaid for the Bose ones, but it's true.
