(More customer reviews)I bought this tv to reduce wear and tear on my more expensive portable dvd player and must say it's better than I expected. It loads dvd's quickly and plays them quietly. It plays dvd (.vob) and .avi files using the memory card slots (only file formats I've tried so far) and outputs the picture and sound through the A/V output jack (in case you want to watch on a bigger tv or transfer file A/V to dvd-r, etc). The SD memory card works better than USB flash- seems to have faster video read times- just make sure you get a card class 4 or faster or the playback "stutters". The remote is responsive and there is an A/V input option in case you want to use it as a monitor for video games, etc. Sound quality from the two built in speakers should be sufficient for all viewing except in loud areas such as riding in a car. The only real cons: battery life is slightly short of 2 hours playback on a dvd; the screen is highly directional (blacks out at angle viewing), but what more can you expect from an 7" lcd screen? I've only had this tv a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to how long it will last, or what Naxa customer service is like. However, it's got alot features in a little package for around $125.
