(More customer reviews)This device was an interesting idea but it doesn't work that well in real life. The device takes a long time to read the content of the drive. It does that same process every time you power it on!
Your best choice it to leave it on all the time which would reduce the live of the reader as well as the life of the hard drive.
On the other hand it was really quick at reading files on thumb drives up to 16GB; didn't have higher capacities but have no reson to doubt that it read them fast enough. As for external USB hard drives, it took way too long to be practical.
The remote control is of low-quality and takes a little bit to get used to. They could have designed it to be a whole lot simpler with more useful options.
One more thing to remember is that this only use SATA drives and not IDE.
This is a good device to use if you have an older TV with Composite or componen, or if you have a very large cmonitor that you are not using. There are other products like this one out there with better quality, so shop around for the best product!
