(More customer reviews)I plugged this drive into my new 11" MacBook Air and watched a DVD and loaded Office for Mac 2011 to the Mac without any problems. As the Air has one USB port on each side, I used only one of the USB connectors on the dual connector cord. All functioned just fine this way. For the record, I did not bother to run the installation disc. The only hitch so far is that the eject button on the DVD unit and the eject button on the Mac keyboard have no effect - to eject the disc I simply go to Finder, open a window and hit the eject triangle by the disc name. All in all, this is certainly less money than the Apple AirDrive and in one respect more convenient, as the AirDrive has a very short, non removable USB cord. With this unit you can use a longer cord if you wish ( I substituted a 6' cord that was in my bin full of surplus cords).
