first of all- do not be fooled by the picture on the web page. the camo on the headphones is NOT 'brownish' (my words). In reality the color is a very Gaudy and plastic-y 'jungle' camo- which is great if you're into that, but i am not.
I'm an arts and crafts kind of guy, so i decided to paint the headphones- being very careful not to damage them. the overall result was great for about a day. the sound quality was good... a little muddy from the bass, but i did only pay $15.
Then it happened. i listened to a podcast while driving from my parents house to the dorm. as i got out of my car, the metal plug of the headphones pulled out of the cord- rendering the headphones useless. because i painted the headphones i will probably not be able to return these. DO NOT BUY THESE! upon arriving at my dorm room, i examined the headphones carefully. please note that i have an electronics background and have worked with audio wiring before. the POOR CONSTRUCTION was to blame for the failure. i attempted to repair the headphones and was able to get sound out of them, but the quality is now about the same as a little kid's tin-can telephone. if not able to return these i will simple tear the headphones apart for the speakers.
