(More customer reviews)I purchased this product to accompany my EeePC and Eee 904 NetBook, and it has worked extremely well. The product comes with 2 USB cables, one to use with the drive in ROM mode, and another to plug in simultaneously to add power when burning media. The unit comes with drivers, but no drivers were required with XP or Vista, the unit was readily identified as a DVD/CD RW drive, the OS loaded appropriate internal drivers and mounted the device without incident, and I was able to use it immediately. The product has worked very reliably thus far with DVD, DVD +/- RW, CD, CD +/- RW, etc.
Pros: Works exactly as described, very compact, mounts easily, simple and intuitive operation. Comes with Nero 6.3 (doesn't work well with Vista) for burning, and PowerDVD for watching DVDs.
Cons: None, no problems encountered
Summary: Good product if you are looking for an extremely portable writable DVD/CD device, simple to use, very compact and lightweight.
