Also it comes with two color options.. one of the color matched perfectly with my vehicle interior color. So, it looks like a stock unit..

(More customer reviews)I bought the PLRD-92 and I have to say, that it DOES have a built in IR Transmitter. I bought a set of wireless headphones and they work GREAT. the sound quality is excellent, even to the Radio thru the built in FM Transmitter. I contacted PYLE prior to making this purchase and they told me that the unit DOES come with built in IR Transmitter. I don't understand why people here on Amazon reviews are saying otherwise. You do have to keep in mind that wireless headphones ONLY work when they are in-front of the unit, not behind it. it is a safety feature to keep people from using the wireless heaphones while driving. The side with the LED lights on this unit should be facing back, because it is on that side of the unit that the IR sensors are located. The signal to the headphones is automatically disconnected when the headphones go past the point where the IR sensor is located. again, ITS A SAFETY FEATURE. I am very happy with my PLRD-92 and HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone in search of an affordable Pulldown DVD player for their vehicle.

I purchased this Pyle DVD headrest to replace a similar looking non-branded DVD headrest that I purchased on ebay that only lasted 30days before the display went out. I will never get burned by ebay and questionable sellers with no warrany and a 7-day return policy again. Note: I wasn't able to leave feedback to warn others on ebay because it was past 30days. Ebay simply said Oh-well, that's our policy.
This Pyle DVD headrest has a 1 year warranty and it has the video/audio in/out cables to connect 2 of these DVD headrest in the car. The kids love the option of watching their own movie or watching the same movie. Our kids are 6 and 8, so my wife or I usually have to get the movies going because the remote might be confusing, at least until they get used to it.
The Pyle DVD headrest is better quality than the ebay unit I replaced. For example, the hinge is more robust and the flat, flexible ribbon cables have a strain relief and guide to prevent damage. All around it seems that Pyle's engineering specified a higher end product. The instruction manual is also better than the off-brand unit that I have.
The IR headphones that we had from the previous headrest work perfect with the Pyle DVD headrest and have both A and B channels. I wish Pyle included a set.
Don't buy it for the games.

(More customer reviews)i bought this item and was pleased with the screen size. once i installed it, it worked great other than a few things. the speaker is not very loud, and the remote is very odd. no matter where you point the remote it only works part time. the speaker has to be all the way up to hear over road noise. other than thatit worked great....until we were about to leave to come home. no the unit will not play the dvd in it,eject it or anything. its like a dvd is not even inserted. we were watching this movie the day before it messed up. so not only do i have a junk dvd player, but i also am out of a dvd because of this. i will give them a second chance, if they reply to my email quick. maybe i recieved a bad unit? all the other reviews were great for this product.

(More customer reviews)Got this for our minivan, since we were worried about backing over kids in the blind spot right behind the bumper. The monitor/mirror is big, bigger than I thought it would be looking at the picture, but it was ok in our vehicle. The camera installed on the license plate. The difficulty with the installation is running all the wires. I tapped into the brake lights to power on the monitor automatically when in reverse. I ran power from the cigarette lighter to the camera and monitor, and I can turn on the monitor and see the image from the camera at any time the car is on. You can also install another video source, but not sure that's a good idea to have a video playing on your rear-view mirror... The included instructions are nearly worthless (actually label wires the wrong color), so the installer mostly needs to use trial and error. Works great now, just how I hoped, but would have reservations recommending to anybody who isn't either experienced in custom installation or gutsy enough to try it.

Pyle Home PD1000A 1000-Watt AM-FM Receiver with Built-in DVD/MP3/USB Review

(More customer reviews)The Pyle PD1000A seemed a good idea. Build in the DVD/CD player into the receiver. One would expect Pyle to be innovative given their good reputation in the Pro Audo field. So I ordered one to upgrade my current TEAC Receiver. I could eliminate the DVD/CD player and pick up extra space on the audio rack.
Out of the box the PD1000A is impressive to view and comes with a set of rack mount ears. Its weight indicates the heavy power transformer required for the high wattage outputs. The USB/MP3 inputs are a good idea and the bass, treble,volume and input controls were easy to use. I do not see why they included a Karaoke capability with two microphone jacks. The controls for same take up much of the lower part of the front panel and the utility of Karaoke is lost on the avereage audio buff.
A major drawback are the blue LEDs that light up behind each control button. So bright are these lights you can't read the labels the panel. They need a dimmer control. As the unit plays, the noise from two built in cooling fans do not add much to the ambiance of the listening room.
The DVD/CD player functioned well and the video was crisp and well defined. Where the PD1000A falls down is the major reason most people would buy one-audio quality.
The unit received has a terrible hiss of white noise in the audio no matter what input was in use. Turning down the treble did not help, indicating poor output stage design. The overall audio quality was also poor. The bass was thin, even with the control at max and what treble that could be heard above the white nolise was not very brilliant. I wondered why the on line specs did not include the amplifier response. It is listed in the manual at 40 to 15KHz, hardly what would have passed for high fidelity in 1949, much less 2009.
The Pyle PD1000A is definitely not suitable for home audio use. Its best application would be in the rack of a commercial AV system or a DJ system.
I'm staying with my current system until someone come up with a good audio quality all-in -one DVD/CD receiver. Pyle missed the mark with the PD1000A.

(More customer reviews)We have been using the Audiovox 128A for a month now and couldn't be happier with it. The picture and sound are great and the controls are easy to access and use. I have a Ford Freestyle and the screen size is just about the right size for this vehicle. The bulit in FM modulaor is great and it is easy to find a new station if the one you selected has static. Being able to choose between 16 stations is nice. My last system let me choose betwen 3 stations. I installed this myself and it was not too difficult. However, I am familier with auto electrical systems, so if you are not, I would recommend a professional do it for you.
