(More customer reviews)This is great for the money. I would actually give it 4 1/2 stars. The 1/2 star deducted, because the tray door popped off when I took it out of the package. However, I was able to pop it back into place. It seems like it sticks a little bit when I push the tray back in, but other than that it reads CD's perfectly and it's only a very minor imperfection.
I was very close to returning this CD-ROM, because my netbook wouldn't recognize it in any of the USB ports. If this happens to you, just have the CD-ROM plugged into your netbook before you turn the netbook on. After I did that it recognized the drive and played all CD's with no problem.
If you're buying this to install and OS or any kind of MS software onto your netbook, be advised that most of their software is on a DVD-ROM disc.

ATI TV Wonder 200 PCI Video Card w/PVR Capabilities Review

(More customer reviews)I've had a WinTV USB from Hauppauge for six years and decided to upgrade to a good PCI card when I bought a new LCD with a 1680x1050 output. All I wanted to do was watch TV, have closed captioning, and maybe have a live TV buffer, I didn't need anything complicated, so I bought this.
Well, I'll put it bluntly here; this product is DOA. I did everything right, checked the connections, and opened the Catalyst Media Center software. It froze up upon seconds. Why? Because, it doesn't work with 1680x1050 resolution! Huh? The WinTV USB was probably designed in the 1024x768 days, but it works perfectly on 1680x1050 with no additional software. So I downgrade my resolution. It launches, but then goes through this hellish fifteen minute process in Catalyst to optimize itself. And then when I click on TV...it never opens. Well it did; it took ten minutes, but when you just want to watch TV, that can be an eternity. Add to that there is absoultely no option for a basic window interface like WinTV32 with Haupaugge's products (you have to have a candy-coated Windows Media Player-like interface to watch anything on this), and there was no doubt that I just spent $65 on a lemon of a product that should've never been released.
There is no doubt about it, on Monday, I will be returning this with prejudice. ATI should be ashamed of including such a buggy software product with their card, and their lack of disclosure on the remote offer as far as shipping and handling. Meanwhile, no matter if they have a more expensive product, Haupaugge has an established relationship with me, and I will be buying their products again once I get my money back for this.

(More customer reviews)i bought this item and was pleased with the screen size. once i installed it, it worked great other than a few things. the speaker is not very loud, and the remote is very odd. no matter where you point the remote it only works part time. the speaker has to be all the way up to hear over road noise. other than thatit worked great....until we were about to leave to come home. no the unit will not play the dvd in it,eject it or anything. its like a dvd is not even inserted. we were watching this movie the day before it messed up. so not only do i have a junk dvd player, but i also am out of a dvd because of this. i will give them a second chance, if they reply to my email quick. maybe i recieved a bad unit? all the other reviews were great for this product.

(More customer reviews)We have been using the Audiovox 128A for a month now and couldn't be happier with it. The picture and sound are great and the controls are easy to access and use. I have a Ford Freestyle and the screen size is just about the right size for this vehicle. The bulit in FM modulaor is great and it is easy to find a new station if the one you selected has static. Being able to choose between 16 stations is nice. My last system let me choose betwen 3 stations. I installed this myself and it was not too difficult. However, I am familier with auto electrical systems, so if you are not, I would recommend a professional do it for you.
