I purchased for my son for our trip to disney. he loved it but after a few months it stopped working the cds would no longer play so we replaced it and the new one stopped working as well. I would not recommend this product to anyone it is over priced and you are just paying for the disney name. if you do purchase make sure you get a warranty because you will be bringing it back.

Disney's exciting classic-styled DCD6000-C portable radio from Memorex offers cool Disney fashion that kids will love alongside great CD and radio functionality. It delivers full compatibility with homemade audio CD-Rs and CD-RWs, 45 seconds anti-skip protection, and drift-free digital PLL tuning with a 20-preset memory to simplify radio operation (10 FM, 10 AM). Twenty-four-track CD programming and random/repeat play make it easy for users to play favorites.
The DCD6000-C's portal-like LCD screen features custom two-tone Disney animation and offers clear indicators for CD track, radio station, preset number, reception strength, and battery level. Kids will enjoy the unit's large buttons arranged in the famous Mickey Mouse silhouette. The included stereo headphones have their own volume control, and their wrap-around design won't impede movements or get tangled in hair. Bass boost heightens the impact of most CD and radio programming when desired.
A snazzy Disney logo crowns the CD player's traditional red and yellow coloring. The unit runs on two AAA batteries (not included).

Sony DEJ011 CD Walkman? Portable CD Player Review

Sony DEJ011 CD Walkman? Portable CD Player
Average Reviews:

This is one of the best CD players I've used. I listen to a lot of Books on Tape and this player picks up exactly where you leave off even if you stop it to do something else for awhile. It's fairly good about playing scratched CDs and has not jumped while I have been working out in the yard or walking with it. The ear phones are OK but get bit irritating after wearing them for a time. If you are looking for a good CD portable player without the radio, this is it. It is pretty light on battery use also.

GPX PC308B Portable CD Player with 60 Second Anti-Skip Protection (Black) Review

GPX PC308B Portable CD Player with 60 Second Anti-Skip Protection (Black)
Average Reviews:

Bought a CD player, of another brand, locally, it didn't work at all right out of the box so returned it. Came to amazon and read the reviews of the CD players they carry and was not really impressed with most of them, this one had the best of reviews so I ordered it and it worked like a charm right out of the box. Unfortunately due to my own clumsy handling of the product I happen to drop it 5 times in a 2 day period, 2 of the drops really hard.
The hinge for the top broke on the second hard fall and I thought that I had seen the end of this great little thing----BUT NO--I pushed the play button and it went right on playing as if nothing had happened. It is still playing a week later flawlessly. I ordered a new one which arrived yesterday but haven't unpacked it yet, I am hoping that it is as good as the poor thing that I tried so hard to kill.
Incredible track record for something so abused, I take much better care of it now..love this little machine.

Sony DE441 Discman Review

Sony DE441 Discman
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this Discman from Amazon a couple weeks ago as a birthday gift for my mother. I liked the price and it seemed to be of good quality. Once the Discman arrived, I presented it to my mother during a trip to the beach and I ended up listening to it for several hours throughout the trip.
First off, I really liked the headphones. They were very comfortable and gave off good sound. Next, I found that the Discman had many useful features. The ESP was wonderful--it would not skip even when I tried to make it skip. I listened to it for about two hours of driving in a car, with it sitting on the seat, and it did not skip once. I even knocked on the top of it a couple times, gave it a few good jolts, to see if it would skip and it didn't even stutter.
I also really liked the resume feature. If you turn the CD off in the middle of a song and leave that same CD in, then when you turn it back on, it will start up exactly where you left off. Not mindblowing, but nifty and somewhat handy.
All in all, I found the Discman to be a great buy. (And my mom has come to love it as well, as soon as I actually let her use it.) The ESP is top quality, the sound is good, there are plenty of features, the headphones are comfortable, and the price is definitely right. Highly recommended.

RCA RP3013 Personal CD Player with FM Radio Review

RCA RP3013 Personal CD Player with FM Radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
After looking at the star ratings and comments for various CD players online, and finding most nothing to brag about, I wandered down to a local store and bought the RCA model RP3013 because it was good looking, had great controls, was cheap enough, and it was an RCA. I also liked having an FM tuner. It comes with earbuds, but I just plugged in a set of my Sennheisers....I'm a traditionalist.
After using it for a week, I am more than happy with my choice.
First, the LCD is on top and easy to read. The buttons for play/pause, stop/off, eq, program, forward and back are also on top of the unit in the form of individual buttons in a semi-circle, very straightforward. Two AA's inside, under a cover....easy to install, unless you have sausage links for fingers. Sound is fine, but not the same as you'd expect from your iPod. Better than I expected however, and yes, I also own a large capacity iPod. The FM radio brings in my stations quite well, with an ST indicator to hone in on the best frequency.

Only negative, it has a wheel for volume, and another wheel for radio station selection, although the selected station is visible in the LCD window. I would have preferred electronic volume and tuning buttons. Kind of a surprising omission, but I can live with it. Just not crazy about wheels. Kind of 80's technology.
Anyhow, overall, very intuitive controls, good sound, decent battery life, a good purchase.

Panasonic SL-CT800 Ultra Thin Portable CD Player Review

Panasonic SL-CT800 Ultra Thin Portable CD Player
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The SL-CT800 is an amazing CD player. Not only is it thin and attractive, but it also has an amzong battery life: up to 120 hrs (unheard of typically for MP3 CD Players). It works very well. The only problem I've had with it is that, unlike iRiver's SlimX 400, the LCD doesn't show international characters (i.e., letters from other languages, like the French "é" or the Spanish "ñ", or Russian Cyrillic, etc.). That's not a major problem though, and does not lessen the overall prestige of this amazing device. A definite A+++!

Panasonic's ultra-slim, MP3- and WMA-friendly SL-CT800 CD player offers the convenience of pocket-slim sizing, remote control operation, and a staggering 80 hours of MP3/WMA file playback. The player's No Skip technology combines rubber, shock-absorbing brushings and an anti-skip digital servo with 48-second memory reserve (100 seconds for MP3) for added back up.Panasonic's Power Last system uses a highly efficient motor with low-load circuitry for drastically improved playback time, helping the player derive up to 120 hours of MP3 file playback from two supplied Ni-MH rechargeable batteries in conjunction with two standard AA batteries (not supplied) in the included (and optional, for general operation) external battery case. This unit's AC adapter uses a magnet to make it easier than traditional adapters to connect and disconnect. Once the magnetic connector is inserted into the adapter, connections and disconnects are effortless. (You may also connect in the conventional way without using the magnet adapter.)A hold function activated from the supplied wired remote control prevents unintended interruptions in playback and saves batteries by negating playback when the player is stopped. You can set it to lock the player, the remote control, or both. The SL-CT800's digital-to-analog converter is Panasonic's single-bit MASH (multi-stage noise shaping technology) DAC, designed to virtually eliminate distortion and deliver all the subtleties and nuances that make digital recordings so rich.Playback options include 20-track programming, repeat (track or disc), and random play. With the player's moving-light key illumination, the buttons on the side of the unit change color and light up in different sequences, showing both the mode of operation and the remaining battery life. What's in the Box CD player, stereo earbud headphones, wired remote control, external battery pack with two Ni-MHrechargeable batteries, user's manual, and an AC power adapter with magnetic connector.

Sony D-FJ61 Portable CD Player Review

Sony D-FJ61 Portable CD Player

This summer, I was telling my eleven-year old niece that it would be nice to have a cd and fm walkman in one. She looked at me like I was so out of it and told me it already existed.
Well, you know Sony would be responsible! I absolutely love my walkman!! I have owned several models over the years and the more Sony builds, the better they become. This model does not skip at all and mine has been through the gym and on hikes! When you get tired of the disc, you just switch over to the tuner. You have the option to program stations (not a new feature of course) and they come in crystal clear. I just love the option, especially when you are planning on extended use.
Very durable as usual and a nice strap to slip over your hand for easy/secure handling.
Sony equates quality!

Coby DVD-207 Compact DVD Player Review

Coby DVD-207 Compact DVD Player
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased a Coby DVD-207 locally from a retailer because of the awesome price. They had it with a $20 mail in rebate that made it a hard deal to pass up. I purchased one and quickly went back to my dorm room to set it up. While unpacking it from the cardboard I noted that the entire unit feels rather flimsy. I was easily able to get the wires plugged in, and I started it up. I put a normal, store purchased DVD in and turned the unit on. There were some grinding noises from within the unit and it took between 3-5 seconds before it started playback. During playback the audio and video would randomly skip, making the movie all but unwatchable. I put the DVD into my laptop and it played back without any issues. I tried several other DVDs and audio cds and found them all to have the same playback problem. I quickly called the store back and spoke to the manager, they said that several people had the same problem with this model and they would exchange it for in store credit. So, after only owning it for a few hours, it went back to the store. I am glad I dodged that bullet and got rid of it before it died and was not in the store's warranty. If you read the warranty information from Coby when you unpack the unit, you will realize that they don't have any interest in fixing or replacing a defective unit (My unit's warranty required that I pay for shipment both ways and also pay a fee for returning a defective unit...) By that point, to get a replacement for a broken unit, you end up paying more than you did in the first place. Do yourself a favor, spend a bit more money and get something that is higher quality, it will last longer and larger companies have more consumer friendly return policies.

Coby's compact DVD-207 affords DVD and CD playback from a device about the size of a soft-cover book. Whether you're ferrying the player between the kitchen and the bedroom or hooking it up for periodic use by the kids, the DVD-207's small size permits myriad uses. While not quite portable in the traditional sense--the unit has no screen and requires AC power--the DVD-207 is much easier to move around, set-up, and use than a traditional component DVD player. It handles not only your DVD-Videos (both NTSC- and PAL-formatted discs), but your music, too, from standard CDs to home-burned CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and MP3-encoded CDs. Further, you can load a disc brimming with digital photos for custom slide shows in the comfort of your home theater. An onscreen display simplifies setup and operation, and the unit comes with a compact, full-function remote control. Other features include parental controls (with PIN lock), frame-by-frame slow motion, picture zoom (2x, 4x), and multiple-angle viewing (with applicable discs).Like to travel? The DVD-207 won't hog space in your bag, and an auto-switching universal power supply handles inputs from AC 110 to 220 volts (50/60 Hz) for use in most countries. Accordingly, the unit's onscreen display offers a choice of 5 setup languages: English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.A composite-video output ensures compatibility with nearly any television and many newer computer monitors. Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's coaxial-type digital-audio output for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver, while a set of standard left/right RCA analog outputs simplifies hookup with traditional integrated amplifiers and most televisions.
