(More customer reviews)With all the rave over Apple's iPod line and Microsoft's latest Zune (and every other competing big-name joining the music trend), few and far between are the daring consumers who choose to enjoy the lower-priced underdogs as the not-so-popular COBY. After owning mine for about two months now, I can say that I'm pretty darn satisfied with this product. Minus the minor delays (or freezes) every so often, it's a great buy for the price. The sound quality is pretty remarkable (depending also on brand of earphones used, mine are Phillips athletic earbuds, a highly recommended partner to accompany this device). Picture quality isn't bad, either. Another major aspect that shifted my decision to go with COBY rather than Apple (besides the incredible price for, basically, the same product minus the glamour and popularity) was the larger screen size. Apple's iPod proper has a wider screen display, albeit shorter height. Nano's screen is significantly smaller in comparison to COBY's 1.66" LCD color display. Additionally, COBY packs like a Swiss Army Knife. Whether studenting or traveling, the device comes equipped with everything the active buyer needs. The device features an FM radio, voice recorder, e-Book capability, video player, and of course, digital audio player.
My only qualm with COBY is the device's not-so-frequent, but irritating glitches. I've had to reset my device several times, and reformat it twice. On more than one occasion, (formally well-functioning) files became inexplicably encrypted and were no longer identifiable by my PC. I could neither locate the files on the device, nor add new ones (via computer only; the files were present on the player, and played normally, but would not show themselves when explored through a PC).
If you're willing to accept the small risk for a great player at an incredible price, I strongly recommend purchasing the Coby MP-C7085 MP3 Player. It may not have the celebrity of it's ipop-counterpart, but this inexspensive little gadget is well worth its penny.

(More customer reviews)The only thing somewhat positive about this earphone is the look/style. Everything else is down hill from there:
- Heavy: they will fall out of your ears when you move your head around (like jogging, etc.)
- Metal housing: it feels COLD, and thus heavy
- Sound: so so, definitely no better bass than any other earphones (I have Pillips and love them).
- Uncomfortable: the cable attachment to the metal housing is too far inward thus preventing the earbuds to be fully inserted into the ear canal. Consequently they fall off easily.
- The retractable housing gets stucked easily. You will have to pull it all the way before it is able to retract back.
Conclusion: DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!

Sennheiser CX300-S Earbuds (Silver) Review

(More customer reviews)I don't think they sound as bad as the other reviewers, but there is an unforgivable design flaw which I truly hope Senheiser has corrected and will never make again. The wire has an unusual rubber feel to it, which seems to resist tangling (I'd imagine that's why they used it) but it also transmits every bump, touch, graze of said wire through the earbud and is reproduced, rather loudly, in your ears.
These CANNOT be worn while performing any activity whatsoever. In order to enjoy your listening experience, you must sit absolutely still and route the cord in such a manner that it will not be touched by anything, including your chest while you breathe. I can not for the life of me figure out why there was no product testing phase for this item. This would have easily been flagged as an issue and if Senheiser was an honest, customer minded company, the issue would have been corrected BEFORE 10,000 units were produced and shipped out.
Sadly, I made the mistake of not purchasing these from Amazon, and was refused an RMA number. Since I'm stuck with them anyway, I've been thinking of cutting the cord (toward the entry to the earbud) and replacing a small section with a cord of a different material, cloth based perhaps, to see if that will reduce the noise from touching the cord.
