(More customer reviews)For the price of these buds, I didn't really expect much from them. I was just looking for a replacement pair of headphones after my Altecs burnt out after a pitiful two weeks. I use my buds alot and I carry them literally wherever I go. I could be going to the mailbox and I'd bring my music with me for fear I may get a craving. (It's an addiction, music is)
Taking them out of the packaging, I noticed that the cable from the buds to the input was extremely sturdy, not like the flimsy cable that you usually receive, for example the cable from the in package Apple headphones you get in your iPod package. I've had these buds for MONTHS and I haven't had ANY problem with them, period. No popping in the headphones, no detached wiring, nothing. Usually headphones last me a month at the most, these have lasted me 7!
The sound quality on these things are astounding, especially for bass heavy songs. On rare occasions, the highs get a little painful but that is my only complaint, everything else about these headphones are top notch.

The longer version ends up with the people at Accessory Genie emailing me "Learn to accept responsibility for your actions and quite blaming others. It may hurt to do so, but one has to look in the mirror at himself and look at his shortcomings and deal with them. " I wanted to listen to my MP3 player in the car and instead I got a life lesson. There isn't a whole lot of options for portable speakers for the SanDisk (as far as I know, there is only one other speaker system available aside from the single speaker hookup), so i'm glad to say that the qaulity of this product is worth the money if you want to invest in a speaker system for it. The sound is clear and loud, and the SanDisk hooks in (and charges) very easily. The 2 complaints I have is that 1. there is no type of bass control at all.. This is a tad disappointing. and 2. there is no remote included. Altec Lansing's speaker systems for the iPod include a remote, to control volume as well as skip, stop and pause the mp3 player. This would have been a nice feature for the SanDisk version as well... But for 70 bucks, i'd say go for it because its the best on the market right now for the SanDisk speakers.

Needless to say that ate batteries like crazy - when you use it every day twice a day for a 42 mile one way commute to work... (I listen to a lot of books on tape & CD) When that finally died (the wires broke inside), I found this little gem! Plugs into the 'cigarette lighter', and since I have a Subaru, I don't have to worry about unplugging it to save the car battery. (I can see that being a problem for people who have vehicles with electrical systems that stay on when you turn the vehicle off - that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 - for my needs, it's a 5 all the way!) On the whole, the sound is fantastic - I use it with a casette player, a cd player (as the one in my car died), and my daughter's Ipod. You cannot tell the difference between the real radio and the broadcast. There is a good selection of stations to choose to from, and it's easy to slide from station to station if needs be. I've never found a reason to change my chosen broadcast station.
All in all - a great buy for the buck! (much cheaper than getting an entire new radio for the car just to listen to my books)

I have been all my life in HI-FI, and honestly believe I can easily distinguish the characteristic sound of any of these kind of systems. Nevertheless, to me, IM2 and IM4 really sound exactly the same. So, before buying an IM4, give a try to IM2s or (if you believe me) just look for IM2s'offers at Amzon or elsewhere (they are still very popular systems).
As said above, you will find IM2s for HALF the price of IM4s.

I don't know who wrote those reviews, other than probably the distributors of this product because I bought this product based on the reviews and when I got it, it would not work like it said it would. When you pull on the cord, it does not even move, it was stuck and I doubt it was defective. After carefully inspecting the product, you can see that there is a design flaw in that the cord is all bungled up! I can't believe I wasted money on this product and I called them and now I have to return the product and pay out of my own pocket the shipping and they won't even refund my shipping fee! I will only get refunded the price I paid. It's a piece of junk. Trust me, don't bother. :(

Coby CA-706 CD/MD/MP3 Car Kit Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)My daily 2+ hour commute is eased by having my MP3 player hooked into my desk using this cassette adapter. I have had it for a couple of months now and as far as the durability goes, it has held up well compared with a Radio Shack cassette adapter that it replaced (since the connectors around the plug came apart.)
I do have a couple of somewhat significant issues with it:
1) the cassette adapter will reverse directions on a random, varying basis; this will happen at least two to three times each hour, but sometimes more. I know that this not necessarily caused by the player since it has happened with the cassette in the deck and the MP3 player off.
2) the power plug has different power plugs to mate with different types of players, but the adapter plug can easily get tugged away from its cord - there should be a better way to secure this; this can be easily be corrected with some electrical tape, but it is a minor nuisance. It has required that I be careful with where I route the cords to make sure that it is out of the way.
Otherwise, I think this player and power cord is a good value and would purchase one again

And it does, but I find myself constantly adjusting the tuner to clean up the signal while driving. I start off and the signal is strong, but 10 miles down the road it starts to fade and needs tuning. I do live in the Baltimore Washington area, so there are a lot of radio stations chewing up the air waves. I think the battery power source limits this items broadcast strength. And when you are near a city, regular FM is going to overpower battery-powered FM everytime. Good item as long as you are in a rural area.

What I see as a necessity in an FM transmitter is this: First, the ability to choose any station - a must especially if you live in the city so you can choose a station that is not being used. Some of the other more expensive transmitters gave you the option of only choosing 6 frequencies. If they're occupied or even slightly occupied you will not get a very clear signal and your FM transmitter will have to compete with that signal already being broadcast. This model has the ability to search up or down to find a frequency that works best. Second, multiple power sources - This model came with both a car power adapter and will also run on one AAA battery. What I like about this is that I can broadcast my mp3 signal over any digital radio anywhere. This comes in handy at home or when I'm at a friend's house and want them to listen to a cool new song on my mp3 player. It has a pretty decent range also. I tried it at home from about 20 feet away from the radio and had no problems. What's cool about this is that you could have a radio tuned to your frequency in different rooms and walk around your house and hear your music from your mp3 player. Yeah, I know I'm getting off track. Anyway, it's a great find at a great price. I didn't have any problems with Eforcity either. It took about a week and a half to ship however. But worth the wait.

The cap on the built in car charger flips off to reveal a spot for another charging plug (like for a cell phone for example). The springs hold the device in tightly while in use and the charger unit is hinged to the transmitter, providing for a 360 degree+ rotation of the unit. The light up screen in blue shows the full frequency channels you can select from with the lighted dial, in increments of 0.1 MHz.
This unit doesn't just look pretty and have nice features, it also performs extremely well. On a 40 minute commute through back roads, highway and city, the unit didn't lose signal once and I heard ZERO interference, yes, that's right, none! Compare that to other reviews.
Downsides? All the downsides are common to most other transmitters: it doesn't have an on/off button, so you have to unplug the unit if you want it to stop drawing power. To get the sound just right, you have to crank the treble on your car stereo a tad (although this just may be a personal preference). And, you have to crank the volume on your mp3 player and/or stereo (and remember to turn the volumes back down when you use your stereo or mp3 player without the transmitter or else risk blowing out your eardrums). There was some static noise when handling the unit initially although I found this went away quickly as the static charge (coming from the user) dispersed.
The sound quality amazes me- very near CD quality sound- and I was very pleased there was no interference- in the 40 minutes driving, I never had to switch channels. As long as it holds up, I don't plan on switching transmitters anytime soon either. The Coby-745 rocks.

(More customer reviews)This is the BEST product of it's kind. Unfortunately, that's not saying much. Unless you have a tape deck in your care or you're willing to drop about 4 bills, an FM transmitter is the only universal tool for hooking up your mp3 player to your car stereo.
We live in DC, and considering that the radio waves are pretty crowded here, the transmitter works very well. There is some fuzziness between songs, but we have found a few stations that offer mostly good quality sound. It is essential if you live in a metro area to purchase a transmitter that allows you to use any station.
However, in order to change stations you must first save it as a preset station and then move to that station. You can't just push an up or down button and stop on a station you want to use, you must first save it. This can be annoying and almost impossible if you are driving.
Despite all this, I would recommend this product specifically for anyone looking for an FM transmitter. Trust me, this is my third one!
